Can anyone recommend me some headphones for playing my electrics at night. I know nothing about them, and have no idea what to look for.

I use a pair of audio-technica ATH-M20 headphones, and find they're very good.

They cut-off outside noise very, very well, so keep your back to the wall so ninjas don't get you. :wha:

I'm about to order myself a set of Vic Firth headphones - good isolation.

I ought to mention - the Vic Firth headphones lasted about a year, they worked but were made like a toy. I replaced them with Sennheisers, with even better isolation and a much better sound.

Did you get headphones Lefty?
I've got a pair of Audio-technica MT-50's on the way, but they're £100ish...

I have several pairs of AT m40s that make me very happy. Much better than the 20s, and about 70 bucks a set. Real Sleepers - good iso, excellent audio specs and can get loud - be careful with that though, you only have one pair of ears.

Yeah... If your ears start feeling tired or hurting. Stop!

Don't screw with your hearing!

I did end up getting headphones right after I posted this topic way back when. MF had a Stupid Deal of the Day on two pairs of headphones so I ordered them and gave one pair to my buddy. I have never used them because the headphone jack in my Epiphone amp is broken and my Classic 50 doesn't have a headphone jack.
