I would love to find a way to go direct into the PA and still have a great tube tone.
Let us know how it works out.

I highly recommend the Warmenfat, the little amp works great through the board. Use pedals? no problem. A couple of the guys want to use it for recording. The only drawback is the price, but it is money well spent.

There are a ton of tube preamps out there, Grady.

I haven't yet tried out the Tube MP Studio I bought cheap off MF's Stupid Deal of the Day several months ago. Supposed to be a mic preamp, but I figured I'd try it with guitar.

Yeh, I know there are a bunch out there.
Problem is, most of them suck.

Right now, I'm leaning towards the Damage Control Liquid Blues model.
$199.00 new.

Glad to hear about the Warmenfat.
I'll watch for one on Ebay.

If you want I will mail it to you and let you give it a try Grady. I don't need it for gigs or anything upcoming. The little amp is light and postage is cheap. I have tried the ART models and I liked them , but this thing is impressive. I ran it through a Epi 12" 16 ohm speaker , very impressed. The soundman let a guitar player run it through the board, very impressive. So if you want to try it out I will mail it to you and let you check it out before making a choice. Every musician has a different ear, what sounds good to me may suck to others, no big deal.
