I'm 6'3". I remember how I was putting on weight when I went off to med school and got up to 165#.

Back about 13 years ago I was riding my bicycle seriously, dieting pretty strictly and briefly saw 169. Since I had some real leg muscles, I was probably skinnier than in school days. Doubt I'll ever get there again, because I'm not likely to get back in an athletic lifestyle. But I can eat better and go walking. Maybe even run into a bear now and then.

My top weight was about 280, many years ago. My lowest was about 180, while hiking the Appalachian Trail. My build won't really go much lower than that, regardless of "hight and weight" norms. Unless, I guess, I got really, really sick. (Built like a keg)
Allan, I had the 180 as well,I have done, back in the late 60s and early 70s ,a lotta hiking on the Appalachian trail, once from Gattlinburg well, east of gattlinburg into NY state, but 6 times from Gattlinburg to ashville NC, My grandfather had a summer home in wiers valley, and would drop me and my brother off at the Appalachian trail, close to Cherokee NC and would pick us up in Ashville 10 days later!! I really had a great time in those mountains!!

That's cool.

I did a lot of hiking on the A.T. in Pennsylvania and Jersey when I was younger, and in the summer of '95 Jane and I walked fom Mount Springer in Georgia to Great Barrington, Massachusetts.

Had loads of fun.

I'm currently drifting around my minimum weight... lot's of walking, playing, cycling and stuff... that's around 175pounds, but thats as all muscle, seem to have no extra fat at the mo! my max is just shy of 200, but i'm young i guess! I had a phase where i hadn't realised how much muscle i'd built so was trying to keep to around 165lbs, but that made me look hollow cheeked, took me a while to realise!

Dunno what I weigh. My kids took the scale out of the house (not because of me, it's another story), but they're bringing it back. I've got a feeling it's getting better, though.

>>> Iam stuck between 230-234 for the last several weeks!!

Hang in there 601, it may just be a plateau! I went on a weight loss program once several years ago and after 6 months I had lost all but 5 unwanted lbs that just wouldn't shake loose. I finally gave up, got comfortable with the little extra and several months later I was in getting a physical and weighed in 7 lbs lighter than when I quit counting. I've been pretty lucky in middle age in that I stay within about 5 lbs either side of my ideal weight without much hassle!
My hats off to ya for how well you've done up to now my friend, CONGRATS!
