New SoundClip from Me (this is Different)

Postby grady » Sun Feb 18, 2007 9:16 am

Just sitting here fooling around with my Strat, Drum Machine and my
V-Amp 2.
I came up with a pretty decent Riff and decided to lay it down and throw some Lead Guitar over it.

Now, keep a few things in mind............

1- This is COMPLETELY "off the cuff"

2- No real "thought" was put into this.
It's just me noodling around.

3- My Lead Chops are about as rusty as they've ever been.
It's gonna take a while to get my Lead playing back in shape.

The clip is called "Rockin' with the V-Amp" and can be heard at my MySpace page.
Here's the link,

http://www.myspace.com/gradymusick

I think the V-Amp has got some great tones and I'm in love with this Drum Machine.

Let me know what ya think.

Super-listenable, in spite of your caveats.

It breathes. I like that.

You don't sound to rusty Grady. Thats some Gary Hoey tone there. I think I need a drum machine.

Can you record with the Vamp 1? My dad has one he never uses.

Very nice, Grady.

Sounds a lot like Montrose to me.

Let's rock!
I'm going to have to get myself something like that machine, or one like J-Ro's.
Grady, your myspace layout is a bit difficult to get to grips with - especially the sideways scrolling that's required to read it.

Wow, if that's rusty, I can't wait to hear you when you are well-oiled and road ready, lol. I can only imagine a monster jam guitar duel between you and Zot over on Blindman's.

Thanks Guys !!!

The V-Amp 1 should be able to record to a Computer too.
Bum it off your Dad and have a blast with it.
You can plug it either into yourt Line in on your Computer or, you can use a Mixer Board.

Here's the setup I'm using....

G&L Legacy Strat w/ Seymour Duncan pickups
Behringer V-Amp 2
Alesis SR-16 Drum Machine
Mackie DFX-6 Mixer Board
Cakewalk Sonar 6 Producer Edition

Sounds like you're having fun. Do I detect some tappage?

Yes, there's a lot of Two-Handed Tapping in that Clip.
I love to Tap and it use to be a big part of my playing.

I gotta get my Chops back.

Sultry, Slutty blues, gotta love it. Love the dirty crunch in the rythmn guitar riff and the lead tone kills. Even the tapping licks are tastefully done. Another good one Grady. Ain't techology great.
