Hartke guitar amps

Postby susudio » Thu Feb 08, 2007 6:29 pm

Does anyone have experience with Hartke guitar amps?
I'm interested in the GT60c and GT100c. The ad indicates a 12AX7 tube preamp and they are rather inexpensive when compared to a full tube rig.
I haven't had the opportunity to test drive one as of yet.

I don't have any personal experience with Hartke gear, but I do know that it is very popular with bass guitarists. Seems to be very well made.

Ditto on Songdog's reply. Their bass guitar equipment is top shelf. I used to play with a guy that had a Hartke head a 4-10 cab and a 1-15 cab and his bass tone killed. Punchy, warm, and fat. No clue what their guitar stuff sounds like.

I thought they only made bass amps and such. Shows how much I know.

Lefty, I wasn't aware either until I received a sale flyer from Sam Ash music. They had a Hartke 2/12 100 watt with a tube pre amp for $299. The 1/12 50 watt version was $199..
