oh no not a fingerpicks question! (Slide Guitar)

Ok I've noticed that some very talented players who use more then just one finger to play only wear one fingerpick on the index finger and don't wear one on the middle finger even though they use that finger to play.

what gives? I use a plastic (golden gate) thumb pick and a steel dunlop fingerpick on my Index and Middle fingers but I'm just curious why these other cats are only using one on the index and none on the middle. Seems weird to me - must be a reason that I can't think of.

btw the 2 people I've been watchin lately that play this way are Eric Sardinas and John Hammond, Jr.

Well I can't speak for auybody else but I pick with all my fingers
and employ only a thumb& single finger-pick,the reason being
I can do alot of struming with the rest of my fingers(mostly down-strokes)

hope that helps Kenny, :)
