Keeping a shine on your resonator

Postby Mississippi John » Tue Jun 27, 2006 12:47 am

Any good tips on polish for nickle-plated resonators? I understand brasso and pretty much most commercial cleaners are out cause they actually eat the finish.

I figure a soft cloth and elbow grease is best, but I'm looking for a miracle because my boys (4 & 2) have terribly sticky dirty fingers, and I can't seem to convince them not to touch the shiny guitar ...

And polish it with auto-body wax after you've cleaned it to help protect the finish.
