That may be a nice little vintage tube amp. It seems odd to me that the new replacement Jensen speaker would be 8 ohms. With one 6V6 output tube the amplifier is pure class A and most likely has a circuit similar to an old Fender Champ. Those amps give the best output into a 4 ohm or even 3.2 ohm speaker.

4 ohm vs. 8 ohm depends on the output transformer used. In any case, it'll make little difference to the power output of the amp, but if it's mismatched there'll be more distortion in the output stage. The load impedance is arbitrarily chosen with beam power and pentode tubes at a level that minimizes distortion. That's usually also close to the peak power level, but due to the fixed voltage on the screen grid, the power doesn't vary with these tubes with changing impedance to the extent that it does with triodes.

Auction ended, no buyer. Priced too high.

OH,oh Bendaway; it's an unwritten rule that we don't correct spelling around here. Too many of us would have to quit accompanying our online sessions with glasses of Scotch,or cans of beer, and I,for one,am not willing to take that drastic measure yet, lol!

spelling?

you can find too many of them on ebay which is a better source in my opinion linked with paypal and all the ebay member protection things if you watch what your doing it can be a pretty safe place for both sellers and buyers, I would take my chances there before an auction like this or anyother pretty soon ebay will be linked with aol, yahoo, msn, google you name it.

oh by the way I offered a second chance to the highest bidder of the silvertone and he took it slightly less then I first listed it for but not by much :-) still got ball park what I wanted for it.
