Pedal advice

Postby Doubet » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:34 pm

So I'm thinking of getting a Dunlop Crybaby Wah pedal to add to my rig, but I don't know when I should use it so it does not get over bearing and annoying. Does anyone know what would be the best possible type of songs to use it on?

a couple of suggestions

1 Don't overuse it. Make it something you use on the rare occasion so it doesn't become a gimmick.
2 Don't forget that it doesn't have to be constantly "on the move" up-and-down with your foot. You can sometimes move it gradually and slowly so it becomes an evolving effect on your solo or rhythm playing. Rush's guitarist does this very well as do some of the soul and R&B guitarists.
