Excellent video! I really liked it. Have stolen some of your licks too!

Thanks for that. :D

Pretty neat John. The '56 Levin was my favorite; it seemed the loudest. I play with a few mandolin players and it seems like volume/projection is always an issue. BTW, I really hope they discover time travel before you're gone so you can go back and visit the people who played those ol' axes you gather.

Thanks, bubba!

The 1956 is my favourite too!! (along with the Supertone)..
I know some owner stuff about some instruments, even some cool stories told by the original owners or their children..
Most are unknown though, but it's cool that the instruments continue to spread music to the world, haha!!!

I see it like this, we're not owning these guitars and mandolins we have, just trying to keep them in a good shape for the next generation after us...!!!!
Borrowing them through time...

That's a good way to think about. I just hope that whoever gets my guitars takes good care of them like I do. Awesome video too! Old mandolins seem to always have a good tone. New mandolins always sound so tinny and bland to me. Each of those that you played seemed to have a really good tone. I really like that '29 Levin.
