Planning a new build

So I have the itch to build another guitar, and I think I'm going to try my hand at a Danelectro style masonite thing. I'm thinking of slightly modifying a jazzmaster body shape, or possibly a reverse firebird body shape (since that firebird I tried building crashed and burned), so I have some sketching to do, but I have a Mexi strat neck sitting around, as well as a Seymour Duncan Antiquity firebird bridge pickup and a GFS P90 to throw in the neck. I'm thinking I'm going to make it pretty much fully hollow, but solid under the bridge and tailpiece. It'll probably have a Bigsby on it, and I may make a rosewood bridge of some kind of some Dano authenticity. I'd like to do a copper finish like the old U1s had on them, too, like this one:

Once I get a bit of extra cash, I'll have to take a trip to home depot to get the masonite and plywood and see what I can cook up.
