Blues Riffs...and where do I find them?

A place to post guitar tabs separately from other discussion so it doesn’t get lost in the messages. To make it easy to search we suggest starting a new thread for each song posted and include the song name in your title. We’ll be able to make a nice archive if we keep tab here and discussion on the other forums.

Blues Riffs...and where do I find them?

Postby gjbrocker » Sun Feb 17, 2008 2:38 am

I have been practicing blues riffs that i have found on YouTube, but that has only gotten me so far, seeing as a lot of the vids. are short with absolutely no explaination, which leaves me in a state of confusion. I have been getting speed down (and i am aware that speed isnt always the answer), but i want to get some techniques down as well, and then bring them up to the tempo i play at. I anyone knows a good site at which i can get free instructional videos on good bluesy riffs, please do send me the link. I am also not that bad at reading tabs, so if you have any that i may be able to use, once again, please do send them to me. I like the styles of Clapton, SRV, B.B. King, Muddywaters, and everyone else along those lines, so if there are any licks that they may use, i would appreciate it very much if you could let me know. That way, i can some how incorporate their licks into my style. Im just trying to get some new knowledge into my nogin, so anything helps! Thanks.

I think these guys are really good. You've probably seen some of their free lessons on youtube. Their premium lessons go for $5 each and so far I haven't been disappointed in the ones I purchased. Each lesson typically last 15-20 minutes, has 5 or more licks and includes a printable tab sheet.
