any simple blues for a newbee learning slide?

A place to post guitar tabs separately from other discussion so it doesn’t get lost in the messages. To make it easy to search we suggest starting a new thread for each song posted and include the song name in your title. We’ll be able to make a nice archive if we keep tab here and discussion on the other forums.

any simple blues for a newbee learning slide?

Postby s1120 » Sat Jun 26, 2010 10:52 am

Subject line says it all. Im just learning slide, and looking for a nice easy blues song to work with wile I learn. Im farly green with the guitar. Ive been playing the guitar for about 3 years.... but with two young kids in the house, I have been to busy to devote much time. So, any nice "starter blues slide" songs I can mess around with? Thanks for any help!

There are a lot of beginner blues slide guitar lessons on YouTube. If you try a little search there, you might find something that you'll enjoy working on.

Little Red Rooster
Falling Down Blues - Furry Lewis
Hoochie Coochie Man
Dust My Broom - Elmore James

All can sound good, and different, with some simple but effective slide.
