Tasty Treats from the studio

Postby allanlummox » Fri Mar 07, 2014 7:19 pm

Been a while since I've visited the site - we've moved, yet again, this time to rural southern Vermont. I've been busy upgrading my home studio since we got here, and have been posting video on Youtube - you can see and hear the studio evolving! Everything gets posted on my Blog, http://buskersblues.blogspot.com/

The party has mostly been on Facebook - a few old BRB posters are regular presences there.

Hey Dan, if you don't mind my askin, about your equoipment, what do you use for your video. Do you use a video camera interfaced with something like an Zoom H4 hooked to your blue mic for audio? Thanks.

I'm using a Zoom Q2 as the camera. The audio is a Blue Bluebird and (on the most recent stuff) a Blue Spark microphone. Running these into an Alesis Mictube Duo, from there to an Alesis Multimix which is my digital interface. These days I'm recording into Audacity - it may be the free program but I've never had problems with it. The only processing I'm doing is a little squeeze of compression, using Audacity plugins.

Hope that helps.
