"The Fender Amp Field Guide" seems to be a good source for dating one's older Fender amp. The info on it seems to be consistent with what I've seen on other sites, when cross-referencing,but it's laid out in an easy to use format that prevents you from searching aimlessly for what you need. It's available as a link from a number of sources. I found it by googling. My Champ was all original, and had all its tags, etc., so it was easy for me. Some of 'em have been repaired to the point where you prob'ly can't tell what's inside of 'em,unless you recognize the parts, and a surprising number of people talk about having tags missing.

thanks for the info on the age, i was told the vintage when i bought it a couple of years ago (early 60's, probably 61). still sounds real nice. you can never believe the guys in a music store, it's best to know yourself.

Wow that is so cool.

How many dollars is an ax like that worth? I've never even seen one like that.

My slide playing is bad enough, that I don't want to play louder just yet, but that is way high in the cool factor department. :)

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-29-06 AT 12:06 PM (EST)]ok, i posted a short sound example of the resolectric. it's at my soundclick titled as national sample. i really suck so please bare with me. they're a lot of excellant very talented people on this forum so feel free to give me some pointers. i'm not a very good player but i'm trying. any how, i think this guitar almost sounds like a style O. interesting for an electric. i had all controls on guitar and amp set neutral and my recording equiptment consists of two cans and some string.

as to cost they run around 2 grand sugested retail.
