Hmm, I think that particular night he was playing an old (not reissue) Green Bullet into a National TremoTone. He also has a National StageStar and a Danelectro Commando - those are his main gigging amps.

Loved it!

Chiming in on the less is more compliments. And you guys really swing!

Is there anywhere on the net you can recommend for learning that style of guitar? Tab, lessons, etc? I'd love to start to add that to my limited repertoire.

Keep up the great playin!

Hmmm...honestly I don't know...I learned by listening to as much Robert Lockwood, Eddie Taylor, and Louis Myers as I can absorb - those are the guys who wrote the book on backing a harp player on guitar - you don't hear these guys playing modern single-note lead, their styles are very chordal and that's what good harp players want to hear.
It's a very specific vocabulary with its own set of characteristic turnarounds and lines that you will begin to recognize if you go on an all-Little Walter Diet for a week or two.

So when is the CD availlable? Great stuff had to get the guitar out and chord along!

The recording dates are for April 29 and 30th. I think we're doing a gig backing up Junior Watson on the 28th, and the next two days we have 10 hour recording sessions. I don't know when the CD will come out, the harp player/bandleader is the one taking care of the business end of things.

Most excellent, Zak! It took a long time to buffer so what I heard was great. Thanks.
