That is what I have been saying for years. Recording with him was probably the greatest musical moment in my life so far.

I'm not sure about that but he's certainly in the cream of the crop along with guys like Alex Schultz, Charlie Baty, Kirk Fletcher, Duke Robillard, Ronnie Earl, and Anson Funderburgh, among a few others. Also, there are some European blues players that don't take a back seat to anybody. There are just soooooo many talented players out there that I haven't even mentioned. I don't think there is a single "best blues guitarist alive today". But, Junior Watson IS among the very best. No doubt about it. JMHO, YMMV.
