As most of you know I've been looking for a good 12-String and I THINK I FOUND IT.....

The Larrivee L-03-12E looks like the guitar I'm gonna go with. What do you guys think about Larrivee guitars?????

Some years back, I had a Larivee dreadnought - it was a very well put together, great sounding instrument.

I have a young friend with a little Larrivée parlor guitar. It's a pretty, well made piece, and it sounds terrific.

I've got a Larrivee Parlor and I really like it.
The sound "volume" is surprising for a small bodied guitar.
For a good price it is WELL WORTH the investment.

Weren't you talking about a $99 Fender on the other thread? I hope you like the Larrivee enough to cover the $1400 dollar price difference... LOL
Seriously, if you haven't checked out the Breedlove 12 you owe it to yourself.

I'm gonna order my Larrivee L-03-12 tomorrow, I decided to get the one WITHOUT the electronics. I figured if I wanted to ass a pickup down the road I could do so then. I just HATE the way the controls look on an acoustic, I THINK IT TAKES AWAY FROM THE BEAUTY OF THE GUITAR and this Larrivee is one BEAUTIFUL guitar!!!

MarlboroMan...you get the Larrivee yet?

I've got a Larrivee OOO-60. It's a fantastically warm and balanced sounding guitar.

Here's a picture of the Larry...

You really can't go wrong with a Larrivee. They're great guitars.

Boz...I didn't know you had a Larrivee Parlor. I haven't tried one of their parlors, but I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Hey McG !!
Everyone's been look'n for you !!

Yup, I jumped on a "sale item" from Elderly Inst. last year.
Like you say, Larrivee makes nice guitars and my parlor is a REAL nice little guitar.
Mine is their entry level. Mahogany back an sides.
She's plain look'n but has surprising volume and a real nice sound.
I'de have No Problem recommending them to anyone.
It travels real nice with the Cigar Box radicals in the collection.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON May-11-06 AT 04:47 PM (EST)]BLUES McGOO: I didn't end up ordering it yet. The guy was outta town at the place I'm getting it from and he is the only one that works at his studio SOO I had to wait a few extra days, BUT the money order is going out tomorrow and HOPEFULLY I'll have it early next week. I'm getting it from Trinity guitars. I'm getting the L-03-12 NOT the electric version just because I'll probably NEVER play onstage with it SOOO I don't really have a use for A/E.

Does anyone have any experience with the L-03-12??? I've ran into a TON of people with other series Larry's but not L-03-12's, I jsut want to make sure they are a WELL MADE 12stringer, cuz from what I hear if a 12 isn't made well they are like a JUNK YARD DOG....

Hey BOZ, I live in Flint, Michigan which is about 45minutes from Elderly. I didn't know many people used there online service, if you ever buy antoher guitar from there and want someone to check it out B4 you buy it le me know I go there ALL THE TIME....

Boz - Yeah, I've heard nothing but good stuff about them. I know you do it justice.

MarlboroMan - I really don't think you can go wrong with a Larrivee. I'd be interested to hear your impressions when you get it. I hope you'll be posting about it. I always like to hear about people getting new (for them) guitars. Kinda satisfies a little of my G.A.S. vicariously. :)

"D'OH" !!
Flint ?!?... The United Automotive Wasteland ?
I'm camped out just outside the city limits.
I worked at A.C. Spark Plug for 27 years.
So, what sort of blues are you playing on a 12 string ?
Ya GOT to be doin some of that Leadbelly.
Do any coffee house stuff ?
