[updated:LAST EDITED ON May-09-06 AT 04:02 AM (EST)]>Any idea where I can find a Washburn R310S (1996-98)?

Do you mean "R301S"? Maybe a typo? Never heard of "R310S".
I've got a R301S, and it's execllant. Several months ago, someone here found a 'cache' of NOS 301's in L.A. I think it was a member called "Stumblin". Search the archives. Good luck, it's a great guitar, IMO much better than the R305S.

Another Update!

Just found this from an eBay seller, warpdrivemusic, claiming 'brand new' R305S's. A new production run, or NOS, I wonder?
Anyway, I've got one, but I still prefer the R301S. But, if you like the 'bling', here it is.

the really great one of these models is the r306. it was the true repro 100 year model. done in real rosewood back and sides with cedar top and 12 fret slot head. they are really nice sounding parlor. pretty tough to find though. it looks like elderly has a 306r for sale at the same price the 305 is listed for on ebay. bluesmagoo did a nice comparison on these a little while back.

I have a copy of the "Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars" from a couple of years ago. In addition to the R301, R305, and R306, it also lists an R310 model. In the past, I had found a blurb or two about it on the net, but nothing significant. From what I've read, it was undoubtedly even more ornate than the 305/306.

Anybody have any info?

According to the archive page of the Washburn site, in 1995, there was made a R310K Victorian, and a R312K Presentation. Both had spruce top and rosewood sides and back, but on the 312 all woods were solid, and an appreciable price increase from the 310.
I have unable to find a 310 except in 1994 and 1995.
Hope this helps

Just the kind of info I was looking for. Do you have a link to the page where you found this?

BluesM:

It only covers from 1990 to 2000, but it is handy.

This R305S went today on eBay for $379 with only 1 bid. Last year 305's seemed to be 'hot', and selling much higher. Guess the market for them has cooled off.

Hey Crowduck, I wouldn't read too much into the closing price on that one. It's a 14 fret. I've never seen a 14 fret 305 go for as much as the 12 fretters go for.

Yeah, you might be right about that.
There's yet another 14 fret 305 on eBay this week, let's see what it goes for.
