My version of a Diamond Bottleneck 50/50

Postby michaelsegui » Wed Jun 07, 2006 3:42 am

A funny thing happened when I got off the internet a half an hour ago.
A foster child who is staying with us was admiring my slide collection and he was looking at my 2" Diamond Bottleneck cobalt blue Standard as well as my thin walled, short chrome Dunlop Muddy Waters type slide that I usually keep in my car as a back-up.

I normally don't like the chrome one because it is so damned thin it only sounds good on an electric and sounds like crap on anything else. The cobalt blue is one of my favourites, however I have to wear it on my ring finger for it to truly fit properly and feel right.

Well he was monkeying around with it and he accidentally popped the little chrome Dunlop INSIDE the cobalt blue and it fit PERFECTLY. There is an equal gap at the top and the bottom, it has more mass and now fits perfectly on my pinky!!!!! I guess that is what Ian's 50/50s are supposed to be like, right?

Anyway... I am happier than a pig in $#!T!!!!!
