classified ads?

Does any one know if the classified ads are working? I just posted a trade item and it did not show up. none of the categories have any ads at all.

Basically, they used to work but nobody used them.

I think there is a forum for posting gear for sale.

There was at one time but it is gone now. So I don't know what one is to do if they want to trade or sell something. People tend to get a little bent out of shape when you start posting a swap or sell thread. But what is one to do now with out the outlet to trade or sell?

If someone has something cool to trade or sell I would appreciate knowing about it. I'm sure that others feel the same way.

So how can we do this?
Should we do the old Monty Python routine
Wink, Wink, Nod, Nod, Jab, Jab, Know what I mean?

I have some brand new effects pedals that I wouldn't mine selling or trading either.

What happened to the recent "For Sale" forum? Did it get lost in the reconstruction?

Guess I have an anarchist streak in me. I know I would be prone to just tell folks that you have something you don't need anymore and that you'd be glad to trade and/or sell.

Of course, that would just be my approach. Seems like there was a complaint ONCE about someone doing that informal approach, that had been going on for years. I think the complainer was fairly new to the community and expected more formality. Most of us are just folks and let common sense dictate. There is a difference between bringing up that you have something available and someone joining just to spam us.

shot off a email to John at C to C music and was informed that the clasified ad's were getting to much spam. so they shut it down and a swap forum or for sale forum will be created once the new software is instaled for the upgrade on the site.
