Johnson Delta Blues VS Chicago Blues

Like the title says. The Johnson Delta Blues is about $40 dollars more. What are you getting for the money? The Roundneck Chicago Blues models get poor ratings on Harmony Central.

Should I pay the extra for the squareneck Delta or go with the squareneck Chicago?

I went to the Web site and it didn't say a whole lot.

The Delta Blues model has a Continental cone. It also has twelve frets to the body. I think that body is large also. The Chicago Blues model was Johnson's cheapest made resophonic guitar.

I liked my Chicago Blues. I don't put a lot of stock in Harmony Central reviews.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Apr-24-06 AT 06:55 PM (EST)]Hey Ric,

Do you feel that the Delta is worth an extra $50?

I could always put another cone in the Chicago and it wouldn't be a Continental.

I really don't know. I've had a Chicago Blues, but not a Delta Blues. When I got the C.B. I was really scraping the bottom of the budget barrel (as usual), and the D.B. didn't make the cut because of the price difference. I was happy with the sound of the cone in the C.B.
