It's really fun to play it! Easy too when one get the hang of the new tuning... GDGD is cool and useful!

Yeah, the grit and dirt with distorted tone is awesome on these CBG's..
I'm having fun, more clips to come!

I'm pleasantly surprised by the tone...nice little growl to it. Don't think I'll be adding one to my "harem" (my wife's term) anytime soon, but does look (and sound) like fun.

The PU is some kind of mini humbucker, the amp is a tiny Roland Micro Cube!

Well, I use a Roland Cube 30 (not the newer one). Great amp, although I've heard a good speaker change makes it totally amazing. Which amp model did you use? I tend to use the Brit Combo. Any idea whether that pickup is high or low output, ceramic or alnico? I'm serious, that tone kills me and I need to know. No pedals?

Nice to hear that you dig the tone!! I agree it sounds awesome!
No idea what PU it is, just a cheapo humbucker I think. See these over at eBay a lot.

I use the "Classic Stack" model here, always use that one, live as well!!
I have no other amp for my live gigs, I use the little one and plug it into the PA. So many people are blown away when they hear what amp I use, haha!!!

No pedals..

I'll try to get some live gig footage, I use it at every gig now.

I have a Jay Turser JT-Res, a weird semi-solid with a very shallow reso cone, piezo and minibucker. Theoretically I could make similar noises, but I think the minibucker is pretty high-output and harsh. Do you use a lot of drive on the amp? What string gauge are you using? If I can get that tone, I'll glue everything to that setting!!

Not all that much drive on the amp I think. It's the mini humbucker that gives this sweet fuzzy tone. Strings are a mix of strings I could find at home but the low is 0.58, nickel.
The little Roland Micro-Cube is just stunning, I love this amp and I use it live always, also for recording in the studio.
