Got a new trio, no bass player, just drums, Hammond and me on the electric slide guitar. A cool new mix!

I like it John, good for you!

But it needs some refinements.
Your drummer is in the wrong band, he's a rock drummer with a very loud snare drum.
He can mute that snare drum down easy, if he want's to.
You need a blues drummer.

What about you john, you're sitting in hole, and over on the side.

Have look here at Muddy Waters, he's sitting in the middle and on a stool.
Notice the drummer's sound too. He stays in the background.

Nope, he's a jazz drummer, haha! Swings like hell here!
So lucky I found this guy who can play "outside the box"!!
He's perfect for this new "power-trio" project. I wanted him to take a lot of space in the music, same goes for the kaeyboards.

This ain't no regular Chicago style blues band, Bill.
But something new, at least on this side of the and in my mind. More brutal tonewise but still some softer moments.

A "loud" snare drum is the doing of a rock sound engineer.. :wha:

I wanted to be off center stage this time, bro. It's a band effort not me or Muddy as the main men..

But thanks for your input, Bill.. Might be hard to understand a new concept, most people do and find it refreshing. :D
We'll see where it leads!

Everything is alright, well good John.
I did think his kit looked like a bop set.

I like it too John! It's funny how one's mind wants to characterize music & pin it down sometimes. The first thing I thought of was the early British blues bands that often featured drummers that had some jazz background. It's a form of vintage blues, only not as vintage as summa yer other music & instruments, lol.
I think the possibilities for "headbangin'", trance dancin' & immersin' yerself in it are pretty limitless.
Bravo.

BJ, I like it a lot. I like its rawness and the way it steps away from 'the blues' and into some new territory. Man, I'll tell you what, if I were playing in that band it would give me such a buzz. It's not too often you come across kindred musos who can pick up on the same feel. You can't force that to happen - it just does. I admire you richly, John. :D Peace.

Nice! Great raw energy. A bit of a change from what I'm used to hearing from you, but it's no dissapointment. Strong work.

I really dig this unpolished electro-trio, thanks for the comments, guys!
