Improving Blues Guitar Technique

Postby crowhue » Sun Dec 16, 2012 9:34 pm

Blues is often assumed to be easy to play but I hear players out there who blow my mind, and Ive been playing acoustic and electric guitar for nearly 25 years with some enthusiasm.

Its not my main musical style but whats the best way to improve and expand my blues vocabulary? Is it to learn more difficult pieces of music note for note or maybe to absorb a player's styles? Any ideas?

Is it normal to post a link to a commercial site in a post here? Just asking. Seems more like an advert than being relevant to the thread question.

I don't thinkit's a problem in this case. Maybe crowhue could explain how and why this happened though?
