Great lookin' axe! I've always loved those double f-hole designs. I like the sounds they make too. Makes me wish I played guitar. :?

And might I add that I like the way you phrased the question? I had a visit recently from an old friend from high school. We were friends at high school, but should never have persisted with the friendship, because we both disappeared over our various horizons and should never have met again. But he had cause to visit recently and on seeing my line up of acoustics, resos, an electric and a bass guitar, he asked "How much did that set you back?" Now I wasn't fast enough to think of the appropriate answer, but did later (as one does) and it would/should have been, "It hasn't set me back at all, in fact it's enhanced my enjoyment of life, reconnected me with the abstract beauty of music, improved my technique no end and put me in touch with a whole bunch of friendly, generous guys from around the world via the forums."

'Nuff said; it's just what sort of worldview we develop as we travel the road. :D Peace

Hi Y'all
thanks Ric and Brian for your Seasonal greetings,
Must tell you about a great stroke of luck, went to our local recycle eco-shop and spotted a wee guitar, thought initially it was a chinese childs guitar
when I looked at it closely, my heart started to pump , it was a wee Regal parlour guitar missing the bridge. Twenty dollars!!!!!. IT is now with the Scottish Luthier
Davy Stuart , furiously biting my nails awaiting the best Christmas present ever.

I have just heard the worlds going to end???? Jasus, it cant happen till I, at least hear the bloody thang. According to what Ive seen on the net made in Chicago between
1900 and 1910 .
All the best for the New Year
jim.

Well done Jim, that must have been quite a pleasant surprise. According to the regulars here they are great for slide.
What kind of action are you getting him to set it at?

Yeh,I got a few lessons from Jon Hooker this year. He lives close to you.
I've been learning some of Broonzy's songs in the key of A.
Nice to get away from E for a bit.
That man was a great blues player with a great voice.

FYI we have a local Jon Hooker (not John), he is an English fingerstyle guitarist.
