Blues on a 1928 Parlor Guitar

Postby tobywalker » Sat Aug 13, 2011 7:59 pm

My arrangement of a Rube Lacy song on a '28 Stromberg Viosinet guitar.

Rube Lacy was from the Jackson MS area and recorded 'Ham Hound Blues' in 1928... the same year my guitar was born!!!

Man that was a great performance, there. Loved it! And that old parlor sounds oh so sweet!

Sounds great! I dig the dissonance at 0:58 (the bridge?) with that open string...reminds me of Thelonious Monk.
Great playing/singing!
