Strings breaking

Well this about my 100th question, but anyway. I went out and bought some light gauges for my acoustic. Do I have to worry about them breaking if I tune up to open E and open A? Thanks for all the help

A Bit late of a reply... but...

When tuning open on an acoustic, You are better to stick with Open D or Open G and Capo up to the 2nd fret for Open E or Open A.

There is a lot less tension and stress on the bridge/soundboard that way.
