Anyone know of any jazz-influenced slide players?

Most of the cats I'm hip to are lap steelers. The only bottleneck slide guy I'm aware of is Dave Tronzo. Any other suggestions?

Check out Dave Tronzo.

Also check out Mike's lap steel work on the Leavitt tuning. It's largely unexplored for bottleneck playing but was designed to allow you to play most any jazz chord with a straight bar (or slide).

You may have interest in Slide Rules, my book on tunings for lap steel & bottleneck: http://www.volkmedia.com/Volkmedia.com/ ... _Book.html

Sonny Landreth doesn't play jazz but his technique of fretting behind the slide offers a lot of possibilities.
