Bosco... Still Kickin'

Nothin' to do with blues? The name says it all. You might try e-mail or Personal Message, but if those don't work for you, put it here, not in the blues forums above. Thanks!

Bosco... Still Kickin'

Hey Guys and Gals-

I've been away from the board for many months but I'm alive and well.

Several factors contributed to my absence. First and foremost, my Aussie mother-in-law, aged 83, passed away back in March. The entire family was consumed by the around the clock care she needed for months toward the end, (with the help of Hospice), but we were able to fulfill her wish of passing at home and not in a facility. You are dearly missed, Mum.

Secondly, I aggravated an old injury in my right knee while turkey hunting May 31 st. It swelled up like a melon and I was hobbled for weeks. After they X-Rayed my wallet, my knee got an X-Ray June 10th. Had to wait until July 22 nd for an MRI and finally saw the ortho Doc on Sept 9 th. Had arthroscopic surgery on Sept 17 th and the knee is doing well now.

The short version is that I spent most of the summer with my leg elevated and iced and couldn't sit comfortably at the computer much longer than to check business email. Was also in a medicated fog most of the summer...that part wasn't all bad!

Hope everyone is fine around here, looking forward to being back amongst the gang!

keep on harpin"...

Great to have you back Bosco
Truly sad news about your mother-in-law
May I ask if her story was something like this

May better days be ahead.

Speaking of people who haven't been around, where has MickeyPainless been? Did I miss something there? I haven't seen him around for ages.

To answer Lefty's question
Mickey said he had taken up Magic Tricks as a new hobbie, and that he gets really involved with new diversions. I have hired well known Californian P.I. James Rockford to investigate. His finding were that a tragic attempt at Houdini's Web of Death trick went very, very wrong and he is now trapped inside the sinister WEB blog BLACK MAGIC CAFE FORUM with 1943 postings, all asking for exorcistic HELP.

Well, I'm STILL kickin !!!

Looked like reviving this old thread might suffice as another reintro. Last couple times I checked back, I couldn't log in, but looks like I'm in now. I've been on the Pro Staff of a Turkey Hunting magazine and forum for several years now and that takes up a lot of time.

Still blowing the blues and currently have a band that's turning some heads regionally. Hope there's still some familiar faces around!

Welcome home young man. I've had some of that medication too, in the past. Wonderful stuff. Glad you're in one piece. I didn't know turkeys did Kung Fu though.

I'm away for a few days, but make yourself at home.
