CD Update

Postby houserocker » Sat Aug 23, 2003 6:20 pm

I was wondering if we could get an update on the B.R.B. C.D. How is it coming, how many tracks, and when might it be ready? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hi Houserocker,
Yes of course my friend, I was just thinking that I should post an update.
Well a few BRBers have had to drop out of the CD project for various reasons so if all goes to plan then we should have about 25 entries in all. Hopefully this will mean we only need to release one CD now.
I have tracks by:
myself, Bosco, BluesMcGoo,Houndog, McGiubert, David,Badfinger, WalterTore,Houserocker,MikeDev and Sandy, Mikey.
Duck is working on his track, as is SRVLives, and Stumblin's will be down as soon as I have worked out an accompaniment.
I'm waiting on the following who tell me they will have their tracks in soon now:
Deltapunk,CAS, Rustyslide, Blinds and Hashtaff, G.D. Revue, Bojangles.
I've had no word from the following recently so please get in touch if you read this:
Ricochet, Jellyroll Baker, Lonedawg, Howlinwoof, DCBlues

I think that's everyone, apologies if I've made any mistakes. So hopefully we're getting close now- would be great to get this thing completed in the next few weeks.

Hello Houndog,
I'll try sending it via BRB email, maybe that'll get through. If not, turn off your anti-spam thing & let me post it to you direct.

Calling all Houndogs,
Just in case you still didn't get my email, here's the gist of it:
On your mp3 page, some songs have a link entitled "download", this enables the user to easily DL the whole song.
Good Stuff Sweet Stuff doesn't have such a link, and it has proved impossible to download it using the right-click-save-target-as function.
Would it be possible for you either to alter the page so that Good Stuff Sweet Stuff has a download link, or to send me or Mousey another disc with the song on it, as the one we've got doesn't play.
Ta.

Now hold on Blinds. I made it a point to send something in right at the beginning of this project so that everyone else here could know there would be at least one offering on the CD that made theirs sound good.

Surely you aren't going to let me have done this in vain. This ain't no contest, just fun. But, I still don't want mine to stand out too much...

If you need something to make everybody look good, there's still my "Answering Machine Blues." First thing I ever wrote. First thing I ever recorded (on a boombox cassette in the bathroom at midnight.) First time I ever sang out loud while playing. And the only thing ever recorded on my long-departed first Johnson, a "Chicago Blues" JR-200. Third take and I called it a wrap.
