[updated:LAST EDITED ON Nov-15-03 AT 03:57 AM (EST)]Listen up chaps.
Go to http://www.bluesometwosome.co.uk and type "/images/BRBCD001.jpg" after the url (don't type the inverted commas) in your address bar and you'll get the front cover.
Type "/images/BRBCD002.jpg" for the back cover.
They're very nice, thanks Rusty.
Just one thing, these images are feckin' massive, that's why I'm not posting them here.
I'm sure Rusty will shortly post instructions on how to reduce them to the correct size for a CD jewel-case.

PS. If the bluesometwosome.co.uk appears in your browser's address bar with a slash "/" at the end, simply omit the slash from the beginnings of the bits I told you to type. I hope that's reasonably clear. Any problems, email me.
I hope everyone is delighted with their CDs.

thanks!

those aren't even the full resolution ones... I have to change McGuibert to MGuibert on the tracklists, and then I'll try and figure out how to get them over to Stumblin.

The full images are 300dpi tiff (.tif) files; the cover is 6.3mb and the insert is 3.6mb

Anyway, to print the images (these or the next batch), you might not want to do it from your webbrowser, which (at least they used to) ignore the print size and just print the images at 72dpi (screen resolution).

I would try printing in black and white before wasting precious colour ink.

OS specifics:
Windows users: baring any better software, pasting the image into a Word or Wordperfect document works well. The cover has to be printed landscape, as it's wider than A4 or 8.5"x11".

Mac OS X: Preview works well. Can easily set the print orientation.

Mac OS 9: probably a word processor like for Windows.

Linux: the Gimp.

To cut the cover and insert out, a straight-edge/ruler, cutting board (clean!) and a hobby/utility knife (or even a sharp pocket knife), works best, rather than scissors. The cover folds in the obvious place.

CD label and liner notes to follow shortly.

Stumblin', you should contact me and we can try to figure out how to transfer the huge-ass files. SSH/SCP, FTP, AIM would all work (e-mail is probably out).

Hey Rusty,
I finally got a look at the art work, with some help from the resident computer expert here in the bunker. VERY NICE!!!
With my son's help I'll get the final finishing touches.
He was blown away when I showed him the C.D. an the artwork.
WAY COOL Project..
Thanks for your help.

is it? I thought his BRB nickname was MGuibert, though perhaps there's a 'c' I don't know about. Perhaps he'll post and let me know.

Hey Rusty
The cover is fantanstic !

My nickname (MGiubert)is only a combination of my name and last name
and I use it only in this forum.
I am sorry that you must waste time for this foolishness.
Like Ricochet said "McGiubert is a nice Scots name " so if you want
to leave it on the tracklist it's not a problem for me.

cheers

M.G.

We gotcher credents: You useta play with Booker T- right? If that's French, and you were with Booker T, that means Louisiana, or was it Quebec? Is it pronounced Zheebear, Shoobear, Geebear, Shubert- just curious.

Okay Rusty,
Send along the finished covers when you're ready.
Sorry all, I got carried away, I thought the ones I'd been sent were the finished articles.
Actually, I'm a little confused as to why several unfinished versions have been circulated. That kind of thing is bound to cause confusion.
Mgiubert it shall be! Hopefully it'll be spelled correctly on future editions.

M.G. spells it above as MGiubert (note the caps) on his post author heading (he's registered that way), and mgiubert (no caps) at the end of his message. That gives two ways to get it right, I think.

Sorry if I'm embarrassing you, M.G. I'm just being a bit obsessive. Off my medicine again.
