SPAM Reporting

Postby pappyj » Tue Mar 29, 2005 2:29 pm

It seems we have some SPAMMERS that think this is the place to ply their trade lately. The best way to deal with them is:

1. Ignore them
2. Never click their links - it will encourage them to post more and may install viruses and/or spyware on your computer.
3. Report them to me using the "Alert" link at the bottom of the message.

I am not always able to read all of the messages here each day, so using the alert link is the best way to notify me and get the quickest action. Posting a reply to the spam message doesn't work, because if I don't see the spam I won't see the reply. My responses to these guys for what it's worth will be to delete the messages, delete the account, and put their IP address on a "bad" list that hopefully will keep that particular spammer off.

Thanks for your cooperation!
Regards,
