BRB UK 2007 - DATE CHANGE & other info

Postby badfinger » Wed Dec 27, 2006 5:12 pm

Hi all.

The date of the UK event of the year is changed!

A clash of bookings at The Mill means that we will now be there the weekend following the previously announced date.
So now UK 2007 will be:

Friday - Sunday, March 16 - 18

Which also means, of course, that anyone who found that weekend difficult... Well, they now have it easy!

Details will be tied down nearer the time, but if you follow last year's info, you won't go far wrong, ie:

Friday Afternoon/Evening...
Arrive, zonk out....
Meet old and new friends in the bar and restaurant....
Impromptu jamming, busking in the snug...

Workshops, teach-ins, jams and displays of gear will happen in and around the main hotel complex.

Saturday Night “Jam And Come All Ye”
in the main function suite; this is when the old mill ROCKS!

As usual, "The Mothball Boys" will provide the backing

The day of slow departures and farewells...
A morning for reminiscence and post-mortem of the night before, over a leisurely brunch....
And, of course, as much gossip as possible about anyone who isn’t there!

As before, for this priceless experience, the cost is paltry, more pittance than prince’s ransom:

- per Participant (incl. room for 2 nights*) = £116.00

- per Participant & ‘Roadie’ (incl. room for 2 nights*) = £116.00
(wives or other ‘Roadies’ stay for free!)

- two BRB participants sharing a room = £81.00* each

*All meals, etc will be on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis, or tabbed to a bill.

We have to make firm bookings with the hotel by certain dates to guarantee the rooms.

The ‘per head’ costing is based on an assumed number of participants, and we have to know the actual numbers early enough to know if we’ve got it right or not.

1. NOW or as soon as possible:
- Let us know if you are interested, to give us a preliminary feel for how many, etc.
- Tell us what kind of instrument and music you play (guitar - acoustic, electric, slide, harmonica, tambourine...)
- Are you interested in a “teach-in”...? Or “teaching”...? Of what?

2. JANUARY 15th
– is the deadline for definite bookings, with a deposit of £46.00[/font] per participant.

3. FEBRUARY 15th
– Full payment of the balance is due.

e-mail Badfinger or Diamond with any questions or special requirements etc, about the event and the accommodation.

Actual bookings and money should be sent to Diamond – e-mail him for a postal address.

See you there!

I'm still interested.
Does anyone fancy sharing a room?

I can do the new dates.

Right, I think I'll come along. I'll drop Keith a line.

Sorry, Stumblin', I like having my own room!
