Labor Day Blues

What about the blues club(s) in your area? Any worth visiting? Blues festivals or events?

Yes, it's one of many things in which you have to use caution and reason. Not too hazardous if you do.

The Baltimore Blues Society gig yesterday went really well. We had a full dance floor, with people dancing and singing along during most of the set.

Bill Wax from XM Radio had some really nice things to say about my playing. Doug MacLeod was on before us. He used to play with George Smith and he told me some of the stuff I played reminded me of Smith (one of my favorite harp players).

I was hoping Mark Hummel would be in the audience when we played and I could get some feedback/critique from him, but he showed up later and played a killer set.

Back to work tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great Labor Day.

Thanx guys! Tis all a down hill slide to 50 now!

Actually, it's more like a bobsled ride to hell.

Happy Birthday, Mick!

Congrats on the Festival success, DC. The blues world needs as many quality supporters and volunteers as it can get.

Was a very low key, easy going B-day and a typical weekend of fixin fence, doctoring cattle, dealing w/ broncos and keepin up w/ honey do's but both my boys were in town and that always makes me a happy guy!
