Blues Radio show in Portugal

I was invited to host a weekly radio show in the major radio station for the province where i live (Minho, Portugal).
Of course it's a theme program about the Blues.

Its first transmission will take place on November 21st 2005 and will be broadcast on FM in 97.0 MHz and 101.7 MHz RAM - Radio Alto Minho starting at 10 PM (UTC+1).
There's a webcast too and you can "tune in" here every monday.

There's a livecam feed from the studio available as well. Follow this link and click on the words "a radio da regiao" (the regional radio) for the studio's live image feed.

The programming will cover all the Blues from Pre-War to present day Blues artists.
It won't be too heavy on spoken word and will be mostly music.

Of course independent artists are mostly welcome so i suggest, and appreciate, if you care to send your music to me at the following address:

C/O Paulo Miranda
Blues na Alto Minho
Largo Sao Domingos 46 RC
4900-330 Viana do Castelo
Portugal

As a footnote i would like to add that the station's RF coverage (with two broadcast frequencies) extends to over 100 miles along the northwestern coastline of Portugal.

We have a yearly Blues festival in town, it took place 5 times already and big and small names alike have come from all over to play here, so, this might be a good chance to promote for your next trip to Europe.
So far we've had Brian Kramer, The Holmes Brothers, Connie Lush, Tom Principato, Long John Hunter, Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Hook Herrera, Sharrie Williams and so many others.

First show will air today, 10pm UTC.

The program is spoke in portuguese but, since it'll be mostly music and not words, we can all understand each other ;)

Follow the links above to the Audio and to the Studio Livecam, in case you want to follow the show overseas.

And last but not least, thank's to all who have sent their CDs and demos. We'll have great music to play on the show.
Thankyou all!
