Los Fabulocos

Your chance to write big-time blues reviews. Only two rules: First, if you're connected to the band or artist, go to Shameless Promotion; Second, don't write a book -- keep it relatively short and simple, no 1,000+ word epics.

Oh .. and make it fun.

Los Fabulocos

Just got this CD today. Amazing CD! Cuevas, Molina and Barrios are three veterans from California's chicano scene and they teamed up with guitarist Kid Ramos and this is what came out. 13 very varied songs, ranging from traditional Mexican tunes, over hot rockabilly, to blues, to a kind of tex-mex sound.

I reckon this CD will be in my CD player for some time. Playing is superb and the song selection is great too. From the first notes of opening tune "Educated Fool" you know you're in for a treat. This is roots music done "oh-so-right"!

Makes me look forward to the summer... Beer, BBQ and Los Fabulocos!
