your opinion on the gut bucket

Postby rhartsoe » Mon Jun 01, 2009 6:00 pm

There are all types of bass players and I have heard a lot of gut bucket players. Most the tub players I have heard think they can play but mostly just do a lot of thumping. I play similar to a dog leg bass with an actual tune. And I get a lot of compliments. I would like to know how you all feel about tub players. Not the thump players who do it because they can't play anything else, but the ones who can actually play bass. Appreciate your opinions and I'm also looking for jams near St. augustine, FL or Boone, NC.

thanks

One post per idea will suffice. Don't do this again.

....did you post the same message in multiple areas? I'm guessing that was your sin. The admins are a mean bunch here.

FWIW, I like gut bucket (and chum bucket) just fine.

4 copies of the same message in 2 areas. Compression is the same thing as oppression apparently.

You'd think a guy who plays a string attached to a stick would be a little more easy going.
