Hello from Illinois

Postby Ed Boyd » Fri Apr 10, 2009 3:58 pm

I have been lurking for a while. I got a wild hair and went crazy and started posting this morning so I thought I should do an intro.

I am from Illinois. I am almost 50 years old. I have been gigging for over 30 years and I have been married for about 20.

As a youngster, I formally studied piano for about 8 years. I took up guitar when I was about 13 but was pretty much strictly a by ear player until I studied Classical Guitar in college. That really helped learn the fret board.

I am just a weekend warrior. I play in 2 bands. In the blues band I plays mostly keys. At gigs I play a digital stage piano and an organ, either a Hammond B or a Hammond XB-2. But I play a little guitar also.

Have a nice weekend.
