Blues Geezer from Southeast Louisiana

Postby Direwolf59 » Fri Feb 13, 2009 5:45 am

Hello all,

I grew up rattin' the streets of the French Quarter and jamming in the clubs there and the New Orleans area. Played some in California and even in Okinawa! That was a long time ago, though! Have mainly been just building amps, recording some and playing for friends and family lately. I'm hoping to get some guys together for a regular jam and maybe even some gigs. I enjoy the forum and hope to add some laughs from time to time.

Ha, that's right, goldbrick! You're the first person who's ever got that about my user name or at least the first that ever said anything about it. I use it everywhere, so if you see it on any other forum, chances are it's me.

I live just across the lake from New Orleans in a town called Mandeville. I've spent most of my life in the New Orleans area, excluding when I was in the service.

I'm a Jerry fan from 'way back. I've even passed thru Mandeville a time or 2--I did a job for ATT at that big navy installation on the lake

Welcome Wolf. We have a lot of international and nationwide influence on the board. I real good to see more influence from the "Cradle".
From Twisted Texas, but rooted in New Orleans.

Thanks, guys! While lurking before I started posting, I noticed the wide variety of people on here. One of the reasons I like this board so much. I've been playing a loooong time and the most important thing I've learned in all those years is to never stop learning. I've jammed with guys that had only been playing a few months and been able to learn things from them. Maybe just a riff or hand position, but nonetheless a lesson learned.
