Hey guys and gals.....

My name is Jeff and just joined after researching Republic Parlour Resonators.Play mostly acoustic and electric and just
finished a couple of homebrew builds. Its funny...but also enlightning that buiding the Cigar Box Guitar lead me to dig deeper into
certain styles of blues and even bluegrass....Anyway-lots of good info here and looking forward to hanging out.

Here is my Kustom/Deluxe pinebody telecaster.Turned out great and it weighs in at 6.5 pounds:

Welcome!

Very cool Tele! Is that a Gretsch Filtertron pickup at the neck position?

Thanks Guys.....

The tele is loaded with GFS Pickups.

Neck is a Hot Alnico Liverpool.
Bridge is a Hot 62 Re-Issue.

Building it I had plans for a TV Jones up front.....but had the GFS Liverpool and it
sounded just fine so I just left it.Good chime and it'll dirty up for some slide.

Thanks-Cigar Box Guitars and even a piece of bailing wire attached to the wall started alot of poor wanna-be guitar players down the road of playing and learning guitar.Something raw and inspiring about them....loads of fun building them and looks like a long cold winter here in Southern Illinois so maybe I'll get a few more put together.

Listen to Pete Anderson interview Hubert Sumlin....inspiring really.Alot times when I'm jonesing for a high dollar guitar I find this video and for some reason it humbles me enough to stop spending and practice.

As for Cigar Box Guitars.....Once I met Hollowbelly...I knew I had to build one.

southern Ill, I like your cigar box guitar a lot, it sounds great.

When I was 17, I had a friend who never used to replace a set of strings until every one broke. He used to say that if you can't play on one string, you'll never be able to play on six.

Thank You....I like alot of different styles and I must say that ...I also like unique
guitars that the neighbor would have. Long winter and I have a few projects I hope to get started or finished up.
