Hey Bama Boy Bubba,
sounds like you are steeped in the tradition of the Deep South. You got that goin' for ya. One of my favorite parts of the USA, though I'm a Northwesty myself, worked and lived down there a long time. Tell us about the blues scene in Bama. I'm thinking about taking that long awaited road trip into Southern blues country. It'll be a pilgrimage, fer sure. Friends along the way are much appreciated.

You definitely came to a good crossroads here.

L8,
Chilly

Alabubba- Classic handle...you'll fit right in here! Welcome.

Hate to break it to ya' but Merle is actually from Bakersfield, California. I'm sure he was "Proud to be a collectin' royalties on Okie from Muskogee" though.

Anyway, join us on the blues harp board...lot's of great info sharing there. HashTaff is new to BRB and we got a good harp/mic/amp thread going in the "Secret to a great Harp Tone" conference.

"blow dammit, suck is just an expression!"

Whereabouts are you in north 'Bama, alabubba?

Both sides of my family are from Alabama (my mom from Hokes Bluff near Gadsden), and I spent my childhood in southwest and central Alabama. Went to med school in Birmingham, did my residency in Anniston and practiced there for several years before moving to Tennessee. North Alabama's pretty country, all right; a lot like around here but the mountains aren't quite as tall and there's more pine trees. :)

I'm wracking my brain, trying to remember which of our Family Practice residency graduates from the program in Bristol, Tennessee went to Hartselle to practice, more than a few years back...

Give me a while and it'll likely come around.
