Riff, Well I'm 46 and do have a job... still makes me feel "experienced" that I've been harpin' since fore you were born as well.

Join us in the "Blues Harp" threads, I got tired of talkin' to myself there as its mostly sliders here. Us harpers gotta stick together!

went down to the crossroads...

How do you know you never heard of it if you never heard of it?

Did you get my message about the message I got from your mail server manager?

RiffKing, I also learned from Jon Gindick books and started when I was a teenager. Welcome to the club!

I heard of it 2-3 years ago from an engine buddy in Oz (a former Pom who emigrated long ago) who said he used to play in a skiffle band. When he couldn't adequately explain skiffle I did some Web searching. I decided it's the sort of stuff we're used to seeing on the telly over here on "Sharon, Lois and Bram's Elephant Show." :7

Got your message. How's AOL Instant Messenger work for you? I'm ironmanbaldy, but don't usually use it 'cause I don't know anyone to talk to!

Hey, I fired up AIM and let it run for a couple of hours. (Nobody to talk to.) It reminded me that I have a forgotten E-address on Netscape: ironmanbaldy@netscape.com/ (One of several I've picked up here and there but left unused.) It's got a 5MB capacity inbox, and is dead empty right now. :)
