Raggedyman here

Postby Raggedyman » Wed Aug 12, 2009 2:03 pm

:D Good lord,I've think I've found a decent Blues forum.G'day to all, apparently the new bloke gets the drinks in ?,we'll see..maybe after the last test 'eh  .Righto, let's get thru the meet & greet.I drum  ,and sometimes,at different times, play harp (yes, blues harp) .I,ve enjoyed blues music and associated artists for around thirty years or so,and I'm looking forward to,hopefully, being able to speak with people who actually know and understand the blues too.

Looks like the new bloke needs this post moved also to the 'A bit about you' section. If you'd be so kind.

I was at a festival a while ago where some woman with a gaelic name was playing the harp. As in the big angel instrument... And she played a few traditional songs and went "actually, you can bend notes using the pedals, so here''s some rhythm and blues." It was pretty awesome!

Oh, man! Those things work kinda like a pedal steel, but I hadn't thought of that! I've got a couple of harp playing friends, but they're the kind with levers to change the pitches, not pedals.

Dunno what this has to do with your intro, Raggedyman, but that's how we roll around here.

Yeah... I though it was pretty amazing.

It was Raggedyman's saying he plays the "harp(yes, blues harp)"
