Hello from Rick Stuart (Roots & Fusion)

Postby Rick Stuart » Thu Jun 25, 2009 11:55 am

Hello everybody!

My first blues LP was Rory Gallagher's Irish Tour '74 (bought in 1980). In the decade from 1987 to 1997 I spent working / living in the music industry - during the day for a specialist record shop in Manchester, UK and in the evenings either dj-ing or promoting gigs.

After 10 years I found the life I was attempting to lead was non-sustainable and I walked away from the music industry completely.

New Year 2009 I have enough distance and perspective to put my toe back in.

I now present Roots & Fusion on Stockport's Pure 107.8FM (http://www.pureradio.org.uk) on Fridays from 11pm (UK time). It's a two hour show of Blues, Americana, Celtic & World Folk, Soul, Gospel, Bluegrass and many points in between.

Give it a listen and let me know what you think...
