I do not think blues in regards to music is a feeling - It is an expression of a feeling. IMHO

You do not have to 'feel' the loss of your rider to express the feeling of losing your rider

I have a mental image of some shack with rough men saw dust floor, cheap backroom brew booze & sawdust floor's. any story's from the juke joints that stick in your mind that you care to share.......

I've been in pubs around here like that:S

Ahh fair enough! I've got a mate over in Stourbridge, who's moving to Stoke for uni. I'm in sunny Stafford. Seems like there's enough west mids blues about!

s'bridge is a nice area compared to the chav hole i was living in.

I agree there does seem to be quite a few blues fans around this area, I was coming from the job center a few days ago & there was some guys from the college chatting about Furry lewis & they were young enough to be my kids.

how old are you bournio?
Also you know of any blues events around birmingam?.......i know about the events at The public in west brom & every few weeks Katy fitsgerald in s'bridge have some blues nights but it tends to be more "chicago" style blues which i aint a huge fan of tbh (i prefer delta style)

I'm one of them young fans... sprightly age of 19...

I dunno, I've played out a little at open mics in stafford, there's the odd jam night but it gets a bit chicago/R&B, but I don't drive, so it's hard work escaping to find more!

Maxx is definately a good one to ask... he's somewhere around brum...

Ah yeah, I do enjoy a good pint of Black Sheep... It's one of te reasons we keep going to the grapes. I shall have to visit when I'm back down there! Might take the harps cos they're easier to carry and less hassle if I don't want to play

OK, so next time Lummo's across, the BRB Tour Bus picks up a Merrie Band. Unless we can find a boozer and jam/open mic, how about festival tents, all fester together camping?

Farmaz, do you know the name of the first Chinaman in Stourbridge?

A: Yo En Lai (for the rest of you, it's a local dialect joke, don't worry if you only speak English)
