I'm a pianist. I covered a Blind Boy Fuller song, and recorded it under a different title. The new title is the same as the title of a song recorded by a famous delta-blues artist. Who am I?

A bonus question:
I was married to a great female singer and recorded with her. One of my songs got famous by being the basis of a more-famous song by a delta-blues artist, the last-mentioned song was covered by a funk-rock band from the mid 80's. Who am I?

For me it's enough that you'll answer on just one of the questions... the second qeustion is for people that will have NO idea what is even the direction for the first answer, maybe they will know the answer to the second one, just so the game will flow faster, you know what I mean? sorry for the very bad wording...

For which question do you want a clue?

Ok sherlocks here are the first clues :) :

First question: The delta-blues artist that I'm talking about is Robert Johnson.

Second question: This funk-rock band had an Israeli guitarist that died of drug overdose.

Couple of days and no bites, I'd suggest more clues, or the answer!

I think I posted that question about the Red Hot Chili Peppers a couple of years ago, but now I've forgotten the answer!

I think it's on "Blood Sugar Sex Magik."

Ah, Amazon says "They're Red Hot" is on that CD. I haven't heard it in a while.

Now, what was the question again?
