I haven't yet encountered those. Doubt I'll get to anytime soon. I'm singin' the Atkins Diet Blues.

What a great thread! Personally, I like a little bit of this and a little bit of that.

SRV, it seems like all the grease ought to pretty well lube 'em up anyway.

It is very interesting that I'm eating a lot less, but my appetite is markedly decreased. I am going around a bit goofier than usual, feeling a bit foggy in the head from being hypoglycemic and ketotic as I have when I've fasted, but I don't feel hungry. Weird. I have been very thirsty.

I'm not a particular advocate of the Atkins diet (yet, anyway), but have turned from strongly condemning it to having an open mind as recently published studies have shown that it doesn't seem to cause the problems conventional nutritional dogma predicted and that in the short run vey low carb dieters lose more weight than low fat dieters do. Plus, meat, eggs and cheese are just the things I crave! I lost >20 lbs. 10 years ago on a low fat diet, but I was starving miserably all the time and at that time I was cycling quasi-competitively which I can't do anymore. So, I'll give this my best shot and see how it turns out. I've just been on it a few days.

Sandy you can't just sit on the fence! You heard the rules- it's either This or That. We're taking no prisoners here.
Now c'mon, which is it- 'This' or 'That'?

P.s.- I've also heard that a little bit of what you fancy does you good but sadly I don't know whether this comes under 'This' or 'That'

But what about "the other"?
I'm told that's rather nice too...

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-15-04 AT 03:25 PM (EST)]Well now, I came in here a little late in a certain aspect of this thread... Hmmm let me see now. OK:

I eat like a horse. As much as I want, whenever I want. I have a high carbo-hydrate inclination, and can't sleep without a good meal inside me.

Favourite midnight snack - chip butties with lots of ketchup. And a Chunky KitKat...

You get the picture...

Here's the mean bit - I have done this all my life, and for the past 20 years have been an unwavering 145 lbs.

(Tho' I must admit to an extra two inches over that time around the waist, to 33" - redistribution thru anno domini.)

Bastard, aren't I!

This was my first forum I ever have visited, since then I tried some art forums but nothing was moving there.
So I prefer this one.
