Sam Meyers ailing

Postby papatex » Mon Jul 04, 2005 10:53 pm

According to Anson Funderburgh's website, his frontman, the great
Blues singer and harp player Sam Meyers has been fighting a losing
battle with laryngitis, has had some polyps removed, and is
having precautionary radiation treatments. He will no doubt be out of
the picture for some months (though the prognosis is good).
I believe Anson is throwing some sort of benefit for him (or maybe
it's already happened). Let's hope and pray for a quick bounceback
for one of the true heavyweights of the Blues.
