Sad news. I'll play his music loud.

Tip' O the hat to Long John.

We owe much to the man who propagated the blues in Britain that launched the invasion. It changed the course of music history.

Rest in peace.

DAMMIT! I am not happy about these great men passing that had an influence on me. I missed seeing anything about his passing and thank you for posting it.

We recently had a discussion about his "Don't Try and Lay No Boogie Woogie On The King of Rock and Roll" here on BRB. I am going to play it tonight at a gig complete with intro only I will substitute cop for bobbie.

Brother Ray, Johnnie Johnson, Long John Baldry all passed within the past thirteen months. And, I'm not feeling well myself.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Aug-06-05 AT 09:42 AM (EST)]Paul Jones on his Radio 2 show had a little tribute to him. The late John Peel I think used to call him "Bald John Laundry". Raise your glasses boys, raise your glasses.
